Microsoft Security Essentials. It's Free. It monitors your computer against viruses in real-time. It is new & has good reviews amongst computer repair techs. If you have the AVG (which is good too) anti-virus program, remove it before you install this. Download it here. |

SUPERAntiSpyware. It's Free. It is one of the tools we use to remove viruses. Simply put, it kicks butt. Free version doesn't offer real-time virus protection. Made to use in conjunction WITH other anti-virus programs. It's very lightweight & has quick scans. I've heard the creator of this software speak about it, and he is a very honest and passionate about his product. Download it here. |
