LOAVES, FISHES & COMPUTERS, INC. provides a cost-effective and safe solution for PC disposal.
Donate your 7-year old or newer PCs and/or equipment, and help make technology affordable & available for others.

All your donations are now tax-deductible. We are now an official 501(c)(3) organization recognized as tax exempt form the IRS. When you upgrade your technology systems, how do you dispose of the surplus PCs that are no longer needed by your organization? They might not be of use to you, but they can still hold value for others. Donate your modern equipment here! It won't get discarded and disassembled, but fixed up and made to work like new-- and reused right here in YOUR own Monterey County.

Your donations are mainly provided to financially challenged individuals and local-non-profits who can't afford a brand new computer, who must be a local resident within Monterey County. Please note: On occasion, your donated computer may be refurbished and resold at an extremely discounted price to a customer who can afford it, to help fund Loaves, Fishes & Computers, Inc. until we are able to find an alternative funding source (i.e., grant money). You can even donate a small cash amount below to help us overcome this hump in this initial phase. It will be VERY much appreciated!

Because used PCs often contain personal information and sensitive corporate data, individuals often become uncomfortable when discarding or decommissioning PCs/Macs. Yet throwing away reusable PCs contributes to waste and prevents them from being used by new owners. A way to solve this issue is to donate your PCs and Macs to Loaves, Fishes & Computers, Inc., a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher.

We will properly decommission your PCs by following stringent United States government data-wiping standards. [Your computer's data will not be looked at, copied, saved, or duplicated in any way: keeping your privacy yours is what we make certain. We use DBAN to securely erase and write over the entire hard disk drive three times, ensuring that your data can never be recovered.] Then we will refurbish the PCs so instead of ending up in a landfill, these viable PCs will be supplied to disadvantaged communities that need access to the benefits of technology that they cannot currently afford. Your unused PC is a much needed gift to someone in hardship.

Working with us can help you in numerous ways:

• Protect corporate data. Disposing of PCs through Loaves, Fishes & Computer's Community MAR Program helps to protect your valuable personal and business data. Because we are required to meet government standards for data removal, you can feel safe knowing that your data has been removed and erased properly.
  
  
• Demonstrate community leadership through PC disposal via refurbishment. Receive a tax-deductible receipt for your donation. You are helping to supply PCs that will be refurbished and provided to those who need them most—schools, disadvantaged individuals and groups, and non-profit organizations. This is an ideal way to show support by giving back to those in need and have a tax-deductible receipt issued for the estimated value of your donation.
  
  
• Provide a viable solution to decrease waste. Protect the environment. You are helping to advocate reuse and decrease waste by keeping your old, but usable, PCs out of landfills, reducing waste and environmental impact.
  
  

Refer to this list when donating your items. Our space is limited so we can only accept items on this list. If you have additional items we can't take, the option exists for you to drop them off at The Marina Landfill or HOPE Services in Seaside: They will take all your E-Waste for FREE. ***PLEASE make an appointment before dropping off your equipment. Call us first (831-383-0412) and we will schedule to meet you, and possibly pick it up***
