It is Loaves, Fishes & Computers, Inc.’s primary objective to provide low-cost complete computer systems and technical assistance to every citizen of the Monterey County and beyond. We believe that everyone, regardless of their income, or life's challenges, should be able to cultivate all the rewards and resources a home-based computer can supply.

Loaves, Fishes & Computers, Inc. provides computers that are modern and clean, with all the software you'll need to be productive. Because we are a Microsoft Registered Refurbisher, we must adhere to certain refurbishing practices. All complete computer systems come with the following software:

If you, or the recipient, do not know how to hook up a computer, or are in need of assistance to do so, we'll go to your/their home and do such for a small setup fee. If you or the recipient does not know how to operate a computer, please contact the Neighborhood Networks Computer Center in Seaside (394-1396), The Alliance on Aging Computer Center (646-1458) or the Recently formed Community Connection (755-0389) for free computer training.

The rules of applying and acceptance:

1. Because our supplies are limited, we will always put families with students (ages 16 and under) first. Other than that, it is first come first served.
2. Please refer to the income requirements to see what you, or your non-profit, qualify for. In order to receive a computer, you must apply below and submit your application. Please note: You WILL be required to show proof of income if your application is accepted. Your most recent bank statements, two pay stubs issued within the last two months, or, proof of social services will be fine. Food stamps count as income. So does Cash Aid. We can not issue you the computer system without this proof.
3. In order to receive a discounted computer system, you must be able to show that you are a resident within the County of Monterey, Santa Cruz County or San Benito County. A picture ID, with current address, will be required.
4. The computer must stay in possession of the original approved recipient unless owner is transferring computer to another household that falls within the income limits below. When you have no further need for the computer or equipment, please return it back to Loaves, Fishes & Computers, Inc. so we can extend its use to another applicant.

Every effort will be made to place a computer with all qualified applicants. Our screening committee will review all applications and you will receive an answer in about 30 days. In most cases priority will be given to school age children. Please note that the need for computers surpasses our inventory so you may be placed on a wait list. Thank you and we wish you well.
